Tooth extraction involves surgical removal of the entire tooth from the root. There are many reasons why a permanent tooth may need to be extracted but the primary reason is severe and permanent decay. Reasons can also be from overcrowding inside the mouth, infection, or even risk of infection.
In most cases, for a single tooth extraction procedure, our team will inject a local anesthetic to the area to numb the pain. In cases where more than one tooth is being pulled, a strong general anesthetic will most likely be used. the only thing you will feel is some pressure around the area.
After the extraction, our team will work with you on care and keeping of the area until it heals.
